Press release:Diana Kastenbaum has agreed to debate fellow Democratic candidate Alissa Ellman 15 days before the primary election. The debate will be held on June 9 at 7 p.m. at Genesee Community College in Batavia, and is and moderated by the League of Women Voters of Rochester."I look forward to meeting Alissa on stage again for another debate. Our debate at Cayuga Community College with the Auburn Citizen definitely helped both of us distinguish ourselves as candidates, and I believe finding more time face-to-face answering questions that matter to our constituents will do us a tremendous amount of good."Previously, Diana's campaign has expressed support for five debates being held across NY-24, a congressional district that stretches from Niagara County in the west to Jefferson County in the east. The Kastenbaum campaign has confirmed that more debates are being planned before the Democratic primary on June 23."Debates offer voters insight into how candidates think about issues and how they seek to respond if elected," said Hugh Smyth, Kastenbaum's campaign manager. "Making public statements on social media or to the press is one thing; being put on the spot and expected to defend your positions directly offers a much clearer picture of what a candidate is all about."
