Join Dr. Paul S. George, Museum of Miami's Resident Historian and co-curator of Caught in the Eye: Remembering the 1926 Hurricane, for a highlights tour of the exhibition. Reflect upon this pivotal moment in Miami's history during this intimate tour experience. This tour is approximately one hour. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Caught in the Eye: Remembering the 1926 Hurricane, on view at the Museum of Miami September 18, 2026 through April 11, 2027. Register Featured Speaker: Paul S. George, Ph.D.Resident Historian For over three decades, Museum of Miami's Resident Historian Dr. Paul S. George has toured his way to local, national, and international acclaim with his continuing series of historic tours. Through walking, coach, and boat tour experiences, Dr. George has welcomed tour participants on a memorable journey of South Florida through its historic neighborhoods, landmarks, and sites. As a Miami native, author, and former college professor, Dr. George has gained fame for his uncanny ability to recall the most impressive details about the people and places that make South Florida so unique. Getting to the Museum Parking There is nearby parking available in the Miami-Dade Cultural Center Garage, 50 NW 2nd Avenue. Take the south elevator to the second floor exit. Exit this floor and follow the pathway across a covered, above street level footbridge that leads directly to the Miami-Dade Cultural Plaza. Parking for program participants with validation is a flat rate of $5. Parking may be validated during check-in for the program.
