Conservatory Park Guided Bird Walk

Join Manatee Audubon for a guided bird walk at Conservatory Park, a 55-acre wooded oasis north of University Parkway in Manatee County. Accompanied by knowledgeable leader Kathy Doddridge, participants follow the paved trail past exercise stations, playgrounds, and lake observation decks--perfect vantage points for spotting Wood Ducks, Black-bellied Whistling Ducks, and elusive night-herons. Overhead, listen for Tufted Titmice, vireos, warblers, and woodpeckers in the shaded canopy, while the underbrush may reveal Carolina Wrens, Brown Thrashers, and even Barred or Pileated Woodpeckers. With over 150 species regularly recorded, this easy-paced, family-friendly outing on paved paths and observation decks offers a delightful mix of birding, education, and accessible outdoor recreation.
