This hour-long virtual session focuses on how our mission to empower women in the workforce through clothing, connections and confidence is implemented within the client experience. From the moment we connect with the women referred, we are creating an experience centered on dignity, empowerment, inclusion, and community. Volunteers will learn the importance of cultural competency, person-centered language, and active listening, as well as the essentials of body positivity when supporting a woman during her styling experience. In addition, we will review the client resource folder (onsite) and the Connections Resource Center (virtual) to ensure that every woman has access to additional resources as needed. **This session is required for all volunteers who will be working directly with the women who come to us for clothing and employment readiness support. This session is not required for volunteers who are supporting the organization in other ways. Attendance is only required at one session, though they re-occur quarterly** Registration is required.
