Churchwide Assembly

The primary decision-making body of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, serving as a process of communal spiritual discernment. Voting members gather to carry out the work of the church, hear reports, review work of officers and ministries, elect officers and board members, establish churchwide policy, worship, adopt a budget, and conduct other essential business.
