About this Event

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Sandra Lee King, age 76, of Southport, Florida.  Mrs. King went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2026.  Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is entrusted with her cremation services.Sandra was an elementary school teacher at Calloway (1st Grade) and Tommy Smith (3rd Grade), and then worked for the Bay Co. School Board Office for a total of 46 years. She earned a Master of Education degree from the University of West Florida. Her hobbies include: Water skiing, boating, swimming, SCUBA diving, RV travel to visit family all over the continental US and to Alaska (drove from FL to Alaska and back 4 times).  She was a very active member of City Church in Panama City.She was preceded in death by her Father, Robert Merrill Sanders / Mother, Bonice Dai Sanders / Brother, Thomas Sanders / Brother, Jess Sanders.Sandra is survived by her loving  Spouse, H. Mitchell “Mickey” King married 58 years / Son, Jason Mitchell King and his wife Leah Marie King / Grandchildren, Sarah Shelby Smith, Carson Mitchell King, Spencer Caleb King / Great Grandchild, Barrett Holloran Smith.In-Lieu-of flowers, donations can be made to City Church at Northside, 530 Airport Road, Panama City, Florida 32405.The family will receive friends on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
