Butterfly Walks are back!
The Regional Parks Botanic Garden invites you to join Sarab Seth, the Butterfly Guy, for a free guided walk around the Botanic Garden in search of butterflies. After adding 3 species this season, our checklist of butterflies recorded in the Garden currently stands at 44 species. What butterflies we see on our walks, and how many, changes over the season. On these June walks, we hope to see 9 or 10 species. If there’s good butterfly weather (sunny, warmer than 65 degrees, and not too windy), groups with especially good karma might see up to 12 species. It is sometimes hard to get a good look with the naked eye. Please bring binoculars if you have them (close-focus binoculars work best). The happiest people at the end of the walk are usually the ones with binoculars.
NOTE: Space is *very* limited due to the small size of many of the butterflies and Garden paths. Please show up promptly and on time. If your plans change, please cancel your reservation (atleast 24 hours in advance). If you need help cancelling, please email [email protected]. No call no shows may result in being excluded from future sign ups.
