Book of the Year Awards Dinner

Join us Thursday, November 5th from 6:00pm-8:30pm for the first annual Michigan Maritime Museum Book of the Year Award Dinner! The Museum is proud to announce The Gales of November: The Untold Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald (2025), written by award-winning journalist and author John U. Bacon, as this year's award recipient. Guests are invited to an intimate evening with the author, featuring dinner and conversation centered on one of the Great Lakes' most enduring maritime stories. Dinner will be prepared in part by students from the Freighter Culinary Academy and Chalkboard Kitchen. This event has limited availability and you must be a Museum Member to attend.
