Autumn in the Abstract: Landscape Painting

In partnership with Rochester Brainery, transform the colors and textures of the season into an original abstract acrylic painting. This beginner-friendly class explores how to use an autumn photograph as inspiration while reimagining its most interesting colors, lines, and shapes. Learn to sketch a basic landscape, mix brilliant fall hues, and layer warm and cool tones without creating muddy colors. Composition, color balance, and creative editing techniques will help bring each painting to life. Participants may bring a favorite fall photograph or choose from reference images provided by the instructor. Each painter will leave with a one-of-a-kind canvas ready to add a cozy seasonal touch to any space.
