Event date: June 18, 2026 Event Time: 06:00 PM - 08:00 PMLocation: 3738 Brambleton Ave. SWRoanoke, VA 24018Description:This 8-week class introduces the fundamentals of the craft, teaching essential skills like holding the hook and yarn, creating a slipknot, and mastering the basic stitches (chain, single, double, half-double, and treble). Participants will also learn fundamental techniques like forming a foundation chain, working in rows, turning work, changing colors, and fastening off. Guidance will be provided on selecting appropriate yarn weights and hook sizes, as well as reading patterns & yarn labels. By the end of the class, participants will be taking home a completed (or almost completed) afghan! Some startup materials provided. Instruction by Laura Campbell.
