A Solar Eclipse Makes It Dark - Free Public Planetarium Show

If you turn around, you might see something bright in your eyes – perhaps the Sun! But every now and then instead there might be a shadow on you – not all of the time, but just for a bit. Yes, sometimes the Sun gets blocked, not just by clouds but by Earth’s Moon. This presentation will explore (1) the different types of astronomical eclipses with an emphasis on the various types of solar eclipses, (2) how you can view upcoming eclipse events, and (3) 80s power ballads that inspire puns in planetarium show titles.
