A Common Thread Gallery Opening and Artist Reception

Lanesboro Arts presents A Common Thread featuring textile artwork from the Textile Center's member artist exhibition. The gallery opening and artist reception is on October 24th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Attendees can enjoy conversations with the artist, refreshments, and live music while getting a first look at the new exhibition. Lanesboro Arts is proud to host the Textile Center's biennal show, A Common Thread. A beloved tradition for 25 years, this exhibition hilights the remarkable creativity of the Textile Center's member artists and the versatility of fiber art. More than 30 works from Textile Center's galleries will showcase techniques including stitching, quilting, knitting, crochet, sewing, weaving, dyeing, felting, needlework, hand construction, polymer clay, lacemaking, basketry, beading, sculpture, mixed media and more - creating an exhibition rich in diversity and expansive in scope and perspective. This exhibition features work from Laura Albertson, Jane Bassuk, Martha Bird, Debbie Boyles. Sandra Brick, Emily Chesick, Susan Day, Vicky Eldelstein, Nancy Gehrig, Cynthia Gipple, Jean Hainlen, Carolyn Halliday, Kim Hondel, Tina Hughes, Kristen Jones, Dyann Judy, Riley Kieve, Lisa Larson, Angela Laughingheart, Julie Liming, Mary Lofgren, Jane Lonnquist, Karen Mallin, Alice Markey, Laura Murray, Reina Nielsen, Ann Poulson, Chloe Russell Chang, Karen Searle, Amanda Shopa, Judy Smith, Terryl Steen, Gall Steward, Rebecca Yaker. This exhibition is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
