Newburger Women’s Roll of Honor on Friday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. at the Clubhouse at Harbor Links in Port Washington. One of the Town’s longest running and most celebrated traditions, the Women’s Roll of Honor shines a light on the inspiring women whose leadership and service have strengthened the fabric of  their communities and made a lasting impact on North Hempstead.  Since its inception in 1994, the Women’s Roll of Honor has recognized women who have distinguished themselves through community service, professional achievement, civic leadership, and volunteerism. The program is named in honor of the late May W. Newburger, who served as North Hempstead Town Supervisor from 1994 to 2003 and left a legacy of public service and community engagement. “This event is a prestigious hallmark of North Hempstead, giving us an opportunity to highlight the everyday heroes living right in our neighborhoods,” said Town Clerk Srivastava. “Their wisdom and experience have made lasting and positive impacts on our town.
