2026 ARPA State Track and Field Meet

2026 ARPA State Track and Field Meet

About this Event

Enterprise Parks and Recreation will once again welcome athletes from across the state as the City hosts the 2026 Alabama Recreation & Parks Association (ARPA) State Track and Field Meet on Saturday, May 16, at Enterprise High School. More than 700 athletes representing 27 Alabama cities are expected to compete in the annual event, which returns to Enterprise for the first time since 2023. Competition begins at 9 a.m. and will feature athletes ages 7 to 14 competing in 12 track and field events. Enterprise Parks and Recreation Athletics Supervisor Tyler Keiser said the event highlights both the talent of young athletes and the community partnerships that make large-scale events possible. “The ARPA State Track and Field Meet is always an exciting event because it brings together athletes and families from all across the state,” Keiser said. “We are excited to welcome this championship back to Enterprise and are grateful for the partnerships that allow us to provide a memorable experience for these young athletes.” Keiser said Enterprise athletes have worked hard throughout the season and are looking forward to competing on their home track. “Our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and staff have put in a lot of work to prepare for this meet,” Keiser said. “Hosting an event of this size takes a true team effort, and we’re excited for the community to come out and cheer them on.” Blake Moore, Director of Community Services and Recreation, expressed appreciation to Enterprise City Schools for their continued partnership in hosting the event at Enterprise High School. “We are extremely grateful to Dr. Zel Thomas, Enterprise City Schools, and the staff at Enterprise High School for allowing us to use these outstanding facilities to host the ARPA State Track and Field Meet,” Moore said. “The ability to provide a first-class venue helps us create a great experience for visiting athletes and families while showcasing the importance of athletics and recreation in Enterprise.” Moore also thanked Brad Fortney, Performance and Wellness Coach for Enterprise City Schools, for his continued support of the program and involvement with Enterprise Parks and Recreation athletes. “Coach Fortney has been a tremendous supporter of Enterprise Parks and Recreation and of youth athletics in general,” Moore said. “His willingness to invest his time, energy, and expertise into these young athletes has made a lasting impact, and we are thankful for his continued partnership.” Admission to the ARPA State Track and Field Meet is $10 per spectator. Children ages 5 and younger will be admitted free. For more information, contact Enterprise Parks and Recreation at (334) 348-2683.
