**Special Weather Statement issued September 18 at 8:46AM PDT by NWS Elko NV**

At 846 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles east of Lund, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Heavy rainfall along with gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central White Pine County.

**What You Should Do:**

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
