Davis & Elkins College 117th Commencement 2026
Davis & Elkins College will hold its 117th Commencement Weekend on May 8 and 9, celebrating the Class of 2026 across three ceremonies.
The weekend opens Friday, May 8 at 4 p.m. with the 48th Annual Nurses' Pinning Ceremony in Senate Commons. Robin Stillwater, a 2013 and 2014 D&E alumna serving aboard the USS Sterett, will deliver the keynote address. The ceremony will honor all ASN, BSN, and RN-BSN graduates and include the Florence Nightingale pledge.
Friday at 7 p.m., the Baccalaureate Service of Praise and Worship takes place in Harper-McNeeley Auditorium. The Reverend Dr. Scott Ramsey, rector of Lewinsville Presbyterian Church, will conduct the service. Graduates will receive a Commemorative Coin designed by senior Maddie Edicola and depicting Lake Tolstead, a campus gathering spot.
The main Commencement Ceremony begins Saturday at 10 a.m. in Harper-McNeeley Auditorium. Shane Berg, senior vice president for human resources, strategy, and administration at General Dynamics, will address graduates.
"This weekend celebrates years of hard work by graduates, families, faculty, and staff," D&E President Chris A. Wood said. "It marks both a milestone and the beginning of a lifetime of opportunity."
The college welcomes family members to all three ceremonies.
