Mary Solomon, 75, of Elba - Obituary

Mary Solomon of Elba died Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at age 75.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coleman Funeral Home of Elba. Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coleman Funeral Home Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Solomon was born November 21, 1948, in Coffee County to James Earl Thompson and Helen Ruth Lawson Thompson, both deceased.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Solomon of Elba; daughter Kimberly Solomon and her husband Jimmy of Elba; son Chris Solomon and his wife Rachel of New Brockton; grandchildren Jordan Grantham and her husband Jesse, Jayme Wood and her husband Jacob, Morgan Solomon, Anna Grace Solomon, and Lexi Carroll and her husband Garrett; great-grandchildren River Grace Grantham, Wrenley Wood, Oaklynn Wood, and Charlee Rae Carroll; sisters Linda Scott and her husband Johnny of Elba and Tammy Thompson of Elba; and brother Ricky Thompson of Elba.

Pallbearers are Jacob Wood, Garrett Carroll, Jesse Grantham, Jamey Scott, Johnny Scott, and James Thompson. Coleman Funeral Home of Elba is handling arrangements.
