New Jersey State Parks Accepting Applications to Fill More Than 800 Seasonal Positions Ahead of Peak Spring, Summer Months

Within the Department of Environmental Protection, the State Parks, Forest Service, Forest Fire Service, Natural Lands Management and State Park Police work together to provide equitable and responsible access to the state’s natural, historic and recreational resources and through the implementation of best practices in stewardship, education, interpretation, law enforcement and forest protection ensure the conservation, protection and understanding of these resources. New Jersey State Parks is currently accepting applications to fill more than 800 seasonal positions ahead of the peak spring and summer months. These roles are vital for the continued operation and maintenance of the state's diverse park system, which includes state parks, forests, and historic sites. Positions are available in various capacities, including park rangers, naturalists, lifeguards, maintenance staff, and administrative support. The seasonal employment opportunities provide individuals with a chance to work outdoors, contribute to public service, and gain valuable experience in environmental stewardship and park management. The Department encourages interested candidates to apply promptly to secure positions for the upcoming busy seasons.
