Edgewater Upholds Equal Employment Opportunity Policies

The City of Edgewater has reiterated its commitment to equal employment opportunity for residents and contractors. Resolution No. 2020-R-02 prohibits discrimination in all employment practices.

The City of Edgewater reminds residents and contractors utilizing city funds of its commitment to equal employment opportunity. The city complies with federal laws and requires contractors funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program to do the same.

City Resolution No. 2020-R-02 prohibits discrimination for applicants and employees of both the city and its contractors. The resolution covers hiring, promotion, discharge, pay, fringe benefits, job training, classification, referral, and other employment matters. Discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or genetics is prohibited.
