LARC Clay Shooting Tournament Raises Over $50K

Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens (LARC) hosted its 8th Annual Aiming for Ability Clay Shooting Tournament on Friday, May 1, bringing together community members, sponsors, and outdoor enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Presented by Grampy’s Charities, the event took place at Sarasota Trap, Skeet & Clays in Nokomis and raised more than $50,000.
Participants enjoyed a morning on the course followed by lunch, awards, and camaraderie, all while raising critical funds to support LARC’s life-enriching programs and services.
Top honors for the day included:
• 1st Place Team: Sunset Air
• 2nd Place Team: DEWALT Superstore/HWGA Supply
• 3rd Place Team: EHC Construction
• Top Female Shooter: Kinsey Leonardi
• Overall Top Shooter: Kory Lindenmayer
“This event continues to grow each year, and we are so grateful for the incredible support from our participants, sponsors, and volunteers,” said Angela Katz, Executive Director of LARC. “Aiming for Ability is more than a tournament—it’s a meaningful way for our community to come together and invest in opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn, grow and thrive.”

About LARC
Established in 1954, LARC is a training center for success for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. LARC serves more than 300 individuals annually, and participants range from 14 to 83.
LARC offers life skills vocational training, youth programs, community residential and employment services, and a vast array of other state-of-the-art community inclusion services on a full-time, year-round basis. LARC’s main campus is located at 2570 Hanson Street, Fort Myers. LARC also operates two Residential Group Homes."
