A Wind Advisory has been issued for multiple counties in Georgia and South Carolina, effective from 5 AM EDT Saturday, October 10, until 11 PM EDT Saturday, October 10. Residents in Lincoln, McDuffie, Columbia, Richmond, and Burke Counties in Georgia, and McCormick and Edgefield Counties in South Carolina should prepare for strong winds.

The National Weather Service (NWS) Columbia SC reports that east winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected. These conditions can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Tree limbs may be blown down, and scattered power outages are possible.

The NWS advises motorists to use extra caution, especially when driving high-profile vehicles. All residents in the affected areas are urged to secure outdoor objects to prevent them from being blown around by the gusty winds.
