Harrisburg Teen Threatens School Massacre at Closing Ceremony

Terrence Twyman Jr., 19, of Harrisburg, was taken into custody Friday after making terroristic threats at the Yellow Breeches Education Center in Cumberland County, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The incident unfolded during preparations for the private school's closing ceremony, when Twyman allegedly warned staff he was 'coming to the closing ceremony and shooting everyone.' Troopers described the threats as 'vague' but charged him with two counts each of aggravated assault and harassment, plus one count of terroristic threatening.

When ordered to leave the campus off Yellow Breeches Road, Twyman resisted violently, attempting to bite, punch and scratch multiple staff members, the affidavit states. Three personnel restrained him until police arrived. The Yellow Breeches Education Center, which serves students with behavioral challenges in south-central Pennsylvania, heightened security protocols amid rising concerns over school threats statewide.

Twyman was arraigned and booked into Dauphin County Prison on $5,000 bond. Court records list his preliminary hearing for 11:45 a.m. on May 12 before a district judge in Lower Paxton Township. The case underscores ongoing vigilance at Pennsylvania private schools, where such disruptions test emergency response amid national spikes in threats.
