The National Weather Service (NWS) Peachtree City issued a Special Weather Statement today, October 4, at 9:09 PM EDT, indicating that heavy rain is impacting the area and is expected to continue until 10:00 PM EDT.
At 9:08 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain was located over Ocmulgee Banks, approximately 10 miles west of Eastman, moving northeast at 5 mph. This heavy rain may lead to temporary street flooding, particularly in areas with poor drainage.
Locations impacted include Eastman, Pineview, Union, Dubois, Gresston, Plainfield, Empire, Cedar Creek, Godwinsville, Ocmulgee Banks, Finleyson, and Roddy.
