James Bailey, Retired Industrial Electrician, Passes Away at 56

Dyersburg mourns the passing of James Bailey, 56, a retired industrial electrician, who died on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in Dyersburg. Mr. Bailey was a familiar face in the community, and his passing marks a loss for his family and friends.

A memorial gathering for Mr. Bailey was held on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN. Many gathered to pay their respects and share memories of a life well-lived.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his mother, Jean Bailey, of Jackson, TN, and his girlfriend, Tammy Roberson, of Dyersburg. He also leaves behind a large family, including four daughters: Kimberley Morgan (Conner) of Brownsville, TN; Abby Bailey of Cooter, MO; Catherine Klein of Virginia Beach, VA; and Rachel Lomax (Curtis) of Brownsville, TN. His two sons, Arron Bailey (Tabby) of Lebanon, OH, and James Edward Bailey (Amanda) of Jackson, TN, also survive him. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his father, James Lee Bailey.
