Presley Gerber Death Investigated in Santa Monica

Santa Monica, California police are investigating the death of model Presley Gerber as a suspected overdose, officials confirmed Monday. Gerber, 27, died Sunday, according to a report from the Los Angeles County medical examiner's office.

The Santa Monica Police Department stated Monday that no signs of foul play were found in Gerber's death. The medical examiner's office is investigating the case and requires additional testing. A deputy medical examiner performed an examination Monday but deferred the cause and manner of death.

Sources close to the investigation told ABC News on Monday that Gerber had checked into a rehabilitation center the day before he was found unresponsive. Staff discovered him on Sunday morning. The medical examiner's report noted that Gerber was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Gerber, son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, had spoken about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse after a 2019 DUI charge. He hosted a video series titled "Mental Health Mondays" in 2024.
