Jacksonville Litter Reduction Campaign & Cleanup App

Mayor Donna Deegan launched a citywide litter and blight reduction campaign today, calling on Jacksonville residents to report dumping sites, join cleanup teams, and help shift how the city approaches trash and neighborhood maintenance.
The "Keep Jax Cute: Don't Pollute" initiative combines education, enforcement, and community engagement. Residents use the MyJax app to report illegal dumping and help city crews respond faster to blight complaints.
"This is more than a cleanup—it's a cultural shift," Deegan said. "We're building a Jacksonville where everyone can live, work, and play in neighborhoods that are safe, welcoming, and respected."
The campaign includes the Jax Litter League, a team-based cleanup competition where companies, neighborhood groups, and organizations earn points for collecting trash. Teams register cleanup events through an online system that coordinates supply requests and trash pickup.
The city's Waste & Recycling mobile app provides customized collection schedules for trash, recycling, and green waste, plus a feature that helps residents sort waste properly. The campaign also features T.P. McClean, a mascot promoting the initiative on social media under the hashtag #KeepJaxCute.
Residents can report blight, register cleanup events, and access waste management resources through the MyJax Customer Service Online Portal and mobile apps.
