County Road 240 Guardrail Work Begins Dec 1

The La Plata County Road & Bridge Department will begin guardrail improvements on County Road 240 on December 1, postponed from an earlier start date due to weather forecasts.

Crews will raise or replace 3.2 miles of guardrail along Florida Road between mile markers 6 and 9.2. Work runs 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with completion expected by January 2 weather permitting.

Motorists should expect single-lane traffic and delays of up to 20 minutes. Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time through the work zone.
