La Plata County Road 524 Closure for Culvert Work

La Plata County will close County Road 524 beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, to replace a failing culvert. The road connects County Roads 521 and 523 south and east of Bayfield.
The Road & Bridge Department will begin work once materials arrive. The closure will remain in effect at least through the end of February.
Drivers can use County Roads 521, 522 and 523 as alternate routes. Residents who rely on County Road 524 for direct access should plan for longer travel times.
