Belleair residents can now plan their 2026 solid waste and recycling collection around upcoming holidays. The town has released its official holiday collection calendar, detailing adjustments for eight major observances.

Collections will shift for New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. For most of these holidays, collection will move to the following day. Recycling often shifts to the same day as regular trash collection.

For example, Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, New Year's Day, moves recycling to Friday, Jan. 2. Monday, Jan. 19, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, moves trash collection to Tuesday, Jan. 20, and recycling to Wednesday, Jan. 21. Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, moves trash collection to Tuesday, May 26, and recycling to Wednesday, May 27.

Some holidays, including Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, will not change the regular collection schedule. Residents should review the full schedule to avoid missed pickups. The town's official website provides the complete holiday collection schedule.
