Dundee Tree Board Enhances Town Beautification & Manages Fund

The Dundee Tree Board provides oversight and advice to town management on beautifying Dundee, from its historic downtown to neighborhood parks. The board guides the maintenance of town trees and public flora and oversees the responsible use of the town tree fund. These duties are essential for the community's aesthetic and environmental health.

The board studies and advises on matters concerning Dundee's green spaces, ensuring that tree-lined streets and areas like Veterans Memorial Park thrive. This advisory role informs decisions about the town's plant life, aligning them with community interests and preserving Dundee's natural beauty and sustainable development.

A key responsibility is developing and annually updating a written plan for tree and flora management. This plan outlines strategies for planting, pruning, and protecting the town's trees, from oaks along Lakefungen to saplings planted by local scout troops. The plan also details the allocation and use of the town tree fund, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The board oversees the implementation of this comprehensive plan. Through its continuous efforts, the Dundee Tree Board enhances the town's appeal and residents' quality of life, helping Dundee remain a pleasant and green place to live.
