Road Construction CSAH 20, Closure and Detour

Road Construction CSAH 20, Closure and Detour Begins June 25, 2026 Utility work on County State Aid Highway 20 (Birchmont Beach Road NE) will result in a complete road closure starting June 25th, 2026 between CSAH 21 (Bemidji Road NE) and Country Club Road NE. The road will be closed to all thru traffic during the utility work. Access will be maintained to those who have businesses or residences along or only accessed by CSAH 20. A signed detour will be in place for the duration of the project, please follow the signed detour. Utility work is expected to go through July 2026. If you have questions or concerns during this project, please do not hesitate to call Beltrami County Highway Department at 218-333-8173. Please travel safely within the construction zone. Families can enjoy a Story Walk from Battle Creek’s Willard Library, guided hikes on the trail, and a variety of family-friendly activities including a bounce house, games, and activities for kids. Local nonprofits will also be on site sharing information and resources.TrailBlaze Family Adventure Day, brought to you by Ford, is a chance for families and individuals to get outside and experience the beauty of Calhoun County’s parks and trails. Taking place on National Trails Day, this event is part of a nationwide celebration of the trails that connect our communities and provide opportunities for recreation, wellness, and exploration.Bring a lunch for a picnic and your bike or roller blades, and plan to spend time exploring the trails with family and friends. TrailBlaze sponsorships support the ongoing maintenance, improvement, and expansion of the Calhoun County Trailway, helping ensure this community resource can be enjoyed for years to come. In addition to Ford, other major sponsors of TrailBlaze include Marshall Community Credit Union and the Calhoun County Visitors Bureau.Make a day of it.
