Monroe County Appoints Neecie Scull Housing Director
Monroe County appointed Paunece "Neecie" Scull as director of the Office of Housing and Real Estate, a newly created position focused on expanding workforce housing and managing county properties in the Florida Keys.
Scull, who brings 19 years of legal and governmental experience, will oversee housing initiatives and county real estate assets. She most recently worked as a partner at Scull & Scull, P.A., handling litigation. Before that, she served as an Assistant County Attorney for Monroe County, where she managed land acquisition programs and advised the Code Compliance and Building Departments on regulatory matters.
Scull earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law and dual bachelor's degrees in psychology and criminology, magna cum laude, from the University of South Florida. She is a member of The Florida Bar.
Monroe County has long struggled with affordable housing for workers in its tourism-dependent economy. The new office consolidates county housing efforts under a single director.
