Destin's American Legion Auxiliary Unit 290: Supporting Veterans and Community
"The American Legion Auxiliary is the feminine branch of The American Legion. It is apatriotic social service organization devoted to serving veterans, their families and communities across the nation. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 290 is located in Destin, Florida and is actively involved in supporting our nation's heroes through various programs and events. They foster patriotism, promote national security, and provide care and assistance to veterans and their families."
Destin's American Legion Auxiliary Meets Monthly for Community and Veteran Support
"The American Legion Auxiliary's mission is to support The American Legion's work through service to veterans, their families and communities. We are a volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of veterans, their families and communities. Our programs include:
**Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation:** Supporting veterans in VA hospitals and homes through comfort items, outreach, and volunteer hours.
**Children & Youth:** Promoting programs and services that benefit children and youth, including scholarships and junior programs.
**Community Service:** Engaging in various local projects that benefit the community, such as sponsoring local events, beautification projects, and supporting local charities.
**National Security:** Educating members and the public on issues related to national security and supporting military families.
**Legislative Program:** Advocating for veterans' rights and benefits at local, state, and national levels.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the American Legion Post 290, located at 1000 US-98, Destin, FL 32541."

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DESTIN, FLORIDA, DELETING ARTICLE 14 “CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS” AND ARTICLE 8, SECTION 8.07.00 “APPROVED TRANSPORTATION PLANS” OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, AND ADOPTING, BY REFERENCE, THE CITY OF DESTIN MOBILITY PLAN, BY CREATING A NEW ARTICLE 9 – TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR MANAGEMENT, PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DESTIN MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR CERTAIN EXPENDITURES, EXPENSES, CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND CERTAIN INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF DESTIN, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2026 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2027; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Copies of the above-mentioned subject may be reviewed at the City of Destin’s Planning Department. The public is encouraged to provide written and/or verbal comments on the above-mentioned matters.
All persons are advised that, if any person decides to appeal any decision made at any of these meetings, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, they need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Florida Statutes 286.0105).
