Manilla City Council to hold public hearing on proposed sale of 703 Maple Street

MANILLA, IA – The City of Manilla will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed sale of a city-owned property located at 703 Maple Street. The hearing is scheduled for May 9, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the Manilla City Hall, a familiar gathering place for many in the area, much like the Denison Library is for its residents.

The property in question is identified as Lot 8, Block 3, in the Original Town of Manilla, Crawford County, Iowa. The city is proposing to sell this real estate for a price of $1,000.00.

Residents who wish to voice their opinions or concerns regarding the proposed sale will have the opportunity to do so at the public hearing. Both oral and written objections can be submitted at that time, ensuring all voices are heard, whether they hail from the heart of Manilla or the surrounding rural communities common to Crawford County.

The meeting will take place at Manilla City Hall, located in Manilla, Iowa. The City Clerk/Treasurer, Karla Ahrenholtz, will be overseeing the proceedings.
