Residents in Western Millard and Juab Counties and Southwest Utah should prepare for high winds and secure loose outdoor objects. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Salt Lake City has issued a High Wind Warning, effective from 6 AM MDT Sunday, October 11, until 6 AM MDT Monday, October 12.

A Wind Advisory is currently in effect until 6 AM MDT Sunday, October 11, with south winds expected between 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to 45 mph. Following this, the High Wind Warning predicts south winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts reaching up to 60 mph.

These conditions may make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles and those with trailers. The NWS advises extra caution on roadways. Potential impacts include moving loose debris, property damage, and power outages. Gusty winds could also blow around unsecured objects.

Please secure any outdoor objects that could be moved or damaged by the strong winds.
