This Election Session, The Palm Beach County Library System Makes Voter Registration Convenient & Easy

A visit to the Palm Beach County Library System can include more than picking up your latest read. As an authorized voter registration agency, the Library System provides members with convenient access to voter registration applications at all branch locations. The next time you visit your local branch, stop by the Member Services desk. While you check out your books, Library staff can provide a voter registration application to register to vote or update your existing voter registration information. Once completed, Library staff will make sure your application is delivered to the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections. At any branch location, you can quickly: Register for the first time. Change your home address. Switch your political party affiliation. Update your legal name. Refresh your signature on file. Eligible Florida residents may register to vote at any time. The deadline to register to participate in an upcoming election is 29 days before the election. You are eligible to register to vote in Florida if: You are a citizen of the United States of America; You are a Florida resident; You are at least 18 years old (you may pre-register to vote at the age of 16, but you cannot vote until you are 18 years old); You have not been adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Florida or any other state; and You have not been convicted of a felony or have been convicted of a felony and had your voting rights restored. CSD CARES: Defining Service. Measuring Experience. Driving Improvement

The Palm Beach County Community Services Department (CSD) has launched CSD CARES, a department-wide customer experience initiative built around one simple question: How do the people we serve experience our programs and services? Every day, CSD employees make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across Palm Beach County. While the services we provide are important, how we deliver those services matters just as much. The CSD CARES Customer Service Model provides a consistent roadmap for creating positive customer experiences—from the initial request through follow-up and continuous improvement: • C – Client Request: Listen and understand the customer’s needs. • S – Serve Customers: Lead with dignity, courtesy, professionalism, and compassion. • D – Diligently Work: Take ownership and work proactively, accurately, and efficiently. • C – Clarify: Ask questions and ensure customers understand processes, timelines, and available resources. • A – Act: Respond promptly and take meaningful action. • R – Respond: Keep customers informed through clear, respectful communication. • E – Evaluate: Listen to feedback and identify opportunities to improve. • S – Strive: Continuously improve, exceed expectations, and build trust. CSD CARES is more than a customer service philosophy; it is a commitment to measuring our performance, listening to feedback, and learning from the people we serve. Through the CSD CARES Customer Experience Survey, residents can share feedback about their experience with CSD, including satisfaction, staff professionalism and knowledge, timeliness, and overall service. That feedback is tracked and mapped through a data dashboard, helping CSD identify what is working, recognize opportunities for improvement, monitor trends, and strengthen accountability. In this way, customer feedback becomes more than information; it becomes a tool for meaningful, data-informed improvement. Eastbound Lane of Roebuck Road Closed for Emergency Repair

A northbound/eastbound lane of Roebuck Road in the vicinity of Jog Road and Florida’s Turnpike is closed to vehicle traffic as crews work to assess and repair damage to the road. The lane will remain closed until further notice. One northbound/eastbound lane remains open. The public is asked to use caution while proceeding through this area. The Palm Beach County Engineering and Public Works Department (EPW) appreciates the community’s patience and understanding during this temporary inconvenience. We are committed to enhancing the safety and efficiency of the County’s infrastructure. Strengthening Our Community Through Hurricane Preparedness

"Robenson Duvelsaint of the Palm Beach Community Services Department’s Community Action Program joined residents, community partners, and emergency preparedness professionals at a hurricane preparedness event hosted by the Palm Beach County Office of Emergency Management at Royal Palm Beach Community High School on September 12, 2026. Focused on hurricane readiness, the event encouraged residents to take proactive steps to protect themselves, their families, and their homes before severe weather strikes. From early morning setup to meaningful conversations throughout the day, participating organizations demonstrated a shared commitment to building a safer, stronger, and more prepared Palm Beach County. The event brought together an impressive network of agencies and community partners, including NOAA, Generator Supercenter, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Legal Aid Society, the Palm Beach County Public Safety Department, Palm Beach County Fire Department, Palm Beach Community Services and Team Rubicon Disaster Response, among others. While attendance was modest, the residents who participated were engaged, informed, and eager to learn. Community members asked important questions, connected with local resources, and gained practical information to help them prepare for hurricane season. The Community Action Program also had the opportunity to connect residents with programs and services offered by Palm Beach County Community Services. Several attendees expressed interest in learning more about available resources and even volunteering with the department, an encouraging sign of growing community involvement. Events like this demonstrate the power of collaboration. By bringing residents together with trusted agencies, service providers, and emergency preparedness partners, Palm Beach County continues to strengthen its network of support and ensure that residents have access to the information and resources they need when it matters most. Cambridge Health Supports Breast Cancer Run

"Take pride in Our Community On Saturday October 5th, Cambridge took part in the Athleader’s Breast Cancer Run/ Walk 5 Miler. Several supporters showed up to walk Stone Mountain for the 5K. It was a beautiful morning and each person was there for the same purpose, we walked in support of Cancer survivors and End the Fight with Cancer. Together, the walkers and runners took on the mountain. Approximately 80 supporters on each team cheered them on from the sideline.
