
Delray Beach Library: Support for Kids with OCD
Palm Beach County Library System hosts an event with psychologist Marni L. Jacob, Ph.D., ABPP, to discuss supporting children with OCD. The free event offers practical strategies for parents and caregivers and will be held in person and online.

Parents and caregivers in Delray Beach can learn strategies for supporting children and teens with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) at a free event hosted by the Palm Beach County Library System. Author and psychologist Marni L. Jacob, Ph.D., ABPP, will discuss her new book, “What to Do When You Have a Tricky, Sticky, Picky Brain: Cognitive Behavioral Strategies to Help Kids with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.”
Jacob, a licensed psychologist and board-certified specialist in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, will share practical exercises and cognitive behavioral strategies to help children identify thinking traps, resist compulsions, and build confidence in managing OCD. She has dedicated her career to assisting families facing this challenge.
“We aim to support parents and caregivers by connecting them with the information, resources and experts who can make a difference in the lives of children and families,” said Palm Beach County Library System Director Douglas Crane.
The event takes place Tuesday, October 6, from 5 to 6 p.m. Attendees can join in person at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch Library, 14350 Hagen Ranch Road in Delray Beach, or online via Zoom. Registration is required in advance at www.pbclibrary.org/events.
