Schedule a Redelivery

Schedule a Redelivery If USPS missed you when they tried to deliver your mail, you can schedule a Redelivery online using a tracking number or the barcode number shown on the back of your PS Form 3849, We ReDeliver for You! Redeliveries can be scheduled online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For same-day Redelivery, ensure your request is submitted by 2 AM CST Monday-Saturday or your Redelivery will be scheduled for the next day. Check to determine if Redelivery is available for your address. To schedule a redelivery: Step 1: Check if Redelivery is available for your address by providing contact information. The address must match the original delivery address. Required fields include First Name, Last Name, Street Address, City, State, ZIP Code, Phone, and Email. Step 2: Select packages for Redelivery by entering a tracking or barcode number shown on the back of your PS Form 3849. Tracking numbers are for individual packages. Barcode numbers can have multiple tracking numbers associated with them. Both tracking and barcode numbers are between 13 and 34 characters. All packages in a single Redelivery request must be associated with the same PS Form 3849. Step 3: Confirm selections for Redelivery. You must read, understand, and accept the Terms and Conditions for Redelivery to proceed. Step 4: Sign up for Informed Delivery. Informed Delivery is a free feature that allows you to check the Redelivery status of your packages, preview incoming mail, and more. Mail and packages will populate your dashboard and daily notification in 2 to 5 business days. Redelivery Options: 1. USPS Smart Parcel Locker: If "USPS Smart Parcel Locker Eligible" is checked on the front of your PS Form 3849 Redelivery Notice, you can have the package delivered to a USPS Smart Parcel Locker. Most electronic lockers are available 24/7 for package pickup using a one-time pickup code. Pickup hours are based on the Post Office location hours. 2. USPS Carrier Redelivery: Fill out the back of your PS Form 3849 Redelivery Notice to let your carrier know when and where you'd like them to leave the package, then put the form in your mailbox. 3. Customer Pickup: Go to the Post Office location written on the back of your PS Form 3849 Redelivery Notice to pick up the package. You can also send someone else to serve as your representative. 4. Return to Sender by USPS: If you don't want to receive the package, USPS will send it back to the shipper with the endorsement "Return to Sender." For questions, contact 800-ASK-USPS (800-275-8777). Privacy Act Statement: Your information will be used to provide you requested products, services, or information. Collection is authorized by 39 USC 401, 403, & 404. Supplying your information is voluntary, but if not provided, the request may not be processed. Information is not disclosed to third parties without consent, except to act on your behalf or as legally required.
