Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens (LARC) hosted its 8th Annual Aiming for Ability Clay Shooting Tournament on Friday, May 1, bringing together community members, sponsors, and outdoor enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Presented by Grampy’s Charities, the event took place at Sarasota Trap, Skeet & Clays in Nokomis and raised more than $50,000. Participants enjoyed a morning on the course followed by lunch, awards, and camaraderie, all while raising critical funds to support LARC’s life-enriching programs and services. LARC serves more than 300 individuals annually, and participants range from 14 to 83. LARC offers life skills vocational training, youth programs, community residential and employment services, and a vast array of other state-of-the-art community inclusion services on a full-time, year-round basis.
