The National Weather Service (NWS) in Austin/San Antonio, TX, issued a Special Weather Statement at 12:58 AM CDT, effective until 1:45 AM CDT today, October 1, 2026.

The storm, located near Loma Alta, is moving northeast at 25 mph. Hazards include wind gusts up to 50 mph and half-inch hail. The NWS indicates that gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects, with minor damage to outdoor objects possible.

Locations expected to be impacted include Loma Alta and Vinegarone. Torrential rainfall is also accompanying this storm, which may lead to localized flooding. Drivers are cautioned not to drive their vehicles through flooded roadways.
