May 6, 2024 Walton County Sheriff’s Office Announces Memorial Day DUI Checkpoint Walton County, Fla. – Walton County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a DUI checkpoint on Saturday, May 25th, between the hours of 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM on US Hwy 98 near the Okaloosa County Line. “Our goal is to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors during the Memorial Day weekend,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson. “We want to remind everyone to make responsible choices and never drive under the influence.” During the checkpoint, deputies will be looking for signs of impairment and will take appropriate action to remove impaired drivers from the road. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is committed to keeping our community safe and urges everyone to celebrate responsibly this Memorial Day weekend.
