Broward Tax Collector Brings License Services to Teachers
The Broward County Tax Collector's Office partnered with the Florida Licensing On Wheels program to offer driver license services at a mobile event in Tamarac on May 23, 2026, serving members of the Broward Teachers Union.
Dozens of teachers completed transactions on-site, many finishing in 10 minutes. Abbey Ajayi, with the Tax Collector's Office, said the event aimed to help educators update licenses before the school year began. "Working alongside FLOW and BTU to make this event possible means our teachers can return to their classrooms with updated driver licenses and one less worry," Ajayi said.
The Tax Collector's Office takes over driver license services in summer 2026. The office plans to coordinate mobile FLOW events across Broward County to increase availability and reduce barriers for working professionals.
Residents can renew licenses online if eligible, book appointments through FLHSMV.gov, or attend mobile FLOW events coordinated through state representatives.
