FDOT Updates SW 10th Street FPL Work Schedule Affecting Newport Buildings

Deerfield Beach residents should note updated schedules for Florida Power & Light (FPL) work along SW 10th Street, affecting several Newport buildings. Inclement weather caused the cancellation of work originally planned for Thursday, September 17. FPL crews have since resumed operations.

FPL work resumed on Friday, September 18, in the Newport T area. Crews addressed two transmission poles located at either end of the Newport T building. This work required the relocation of vehicles parked along the S.W. 10th Street fence and in front of Newport T by 8 a.m. that morning. Some affected guest parking spaces belonged to Newport U and Newport S.

The updated schedule for the coming week includes work in front of Newport S today, Monday, September 21. FPL will then move to Newport R on Tuesday, September 22, and Newport Q on Wednesday, September 23.

Residents in these areas must relocate their vehicles from along the S.W. 10th Street fence and in front of the affected buildings by 8 a.m. on their respective workdays. This ensures FPL crews can access the necessary infrastructure without obstruction.

All dates and locations remain subject to change. Weather conditions and FPL's progress can impact the schedule. Residents should plan accordingly and move their vehicles in advance to avoid any interference with the ongoing work.
