Deer Park Senior Brandon Bailey Wins NFF Scholar-Athlete Award
Deer Park High School senior Brandon Bailey earned the National Football Foundation's Scholar-Athlete award, recognized at the Suffolk Chapter's brunch in May at the Marriott Melville Long Island.
Bailey served as team captain during his four years with the Falcons and earned first-team All-Division honors in 2024. He maintains a weighted GPA of 95.58 and received the Deer Park Football Falcon Award. He will attend the University of Delaware in the fall.
"Brandon has shown tremendous pride and commitment to the Deer Park football program," head coach Cody Ciolino said. "He has represented himself both on and off the field with class and is the perfect example of what we look for in a player."
Beyond football, Bailey participates in the National Honor Society, Italian Honor Society, Black Student Union, Student Booster Club and Falcon Leaders Club. He volunteers as a PAL youth football coach and with his church youth group.
The National Football Foundation's Scholar-Athlete program recognizes high school seniors who demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics and community service.
