Deer Park High School Inducts 90 Into World Language Honor Societies

Deer Park High School inducted 90 students into its World Language Honor Societies on April 16, recognizing achievement in French, Italian and Spanish. Six students joined the French Honor Society, 24 the Italian Honor Society and 60 the Spanish Honor Society.

Ashley Rosenberg, director for English as a New Language and World Languages, told inductees they had become role models for their dedication to language study. "Your commitment to learning a new language opens doors to new perspectives, cultures and ways of life," she said.

The ceremony featured performances by Caleb Pierre, Sophia Sheeler and Heidy Gonzalez Morales, along with the school's string quartet.
