Alabama extends DeBoer's contract to $87.5M over seven years
Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer signed a new seven-year contract with the university, securing $87.5 million through January 31, 2033.
The deal guarantees DeBoer $12.5 million per season. The extension represents the program's commitment to the coach following his hire in December 2023, when Alabama moved on from Nick Saban after 17 seasons.
DeBoer arrived at Alabama after leading the University of Washington to a 25-2 record over two seasons, including a College Football Playoff appearance in the 2023 season. Before Washington, he spent two years as the head coach at the University of Illinois and previously held coordinator positions at multiple programs.
