Animal Rescue League Boston Gets $75K Grant
The Animal Rescue League of Boston received a $75,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation, the only animal welfare organization selected among 150 recipients this year.
The foundation awarded grants to 150 organizations from 959 applicants. ARL will use the three-year funding to support emergency pet housing, food, veterinary care, and services that prevent pet surrender across Greater Boston.
The Cummings Foundation increased its annual grant program to $35 million this year and shifted to unrestricted funding, allowing organizations to direct resources where they see greatest need. ARL operates without government funding and relies on grants and donations.
