PIT-RADWAR POPRAD: New Air Defense System Targets Low-Altitude Threats
The PIT-RADWAR POPRAD is a self-propelled very short-range air defense (VSHORAD) missile system that detects, identifies, and engages low-altitude air targets.
The system carries four ready-to-fire Grom or Piorun missiles and four reloads. PIT-RADWAR states the POPRAD system has an engagement envelope of 500 to 5,500 meters in range and 10 to 3,500 meters in altitude. The system now uses the PZR GROM designation for its missiles.
