VA Home Loans Daytona Beach: No Down Payment

Staff Writer

VA Home Loans Help Daytona Beach Veterans Buy With No Down Payment

Daytona Beach veterans can buy homes with no down payment and no private mortgage insurance through VA-guaranteed loans, a benefit that has served over 29 million service members since its inception.

The loans eliminate down payments, keep interest rates competitive, and waive private mortgage insurance. Veterans with service-connected disabilities avoid the VA funding fee entirely, which ranges from 2.15% to 3.3% of the loan amount. Other veterans can deduct the fee on their taxes if they itemize deductions or roll it into their loan.

In fiscal year 2025, the VA guaranteed over 500,000 home loans. Nearly 170,000 went to veterans under 35. The program also served nearly 850 veterans who fought in World War II or the Korean War, and over 8,000 veterans over 80.

Veterans can use this benefit multiple times throughout their lives for purchases, refinancing, or relocations. More information is available at VA.gov.
