Mike Fowler Named City Manager in Daytona Beach Shores

Daytona Beach Shores appointed Mike Fowler as city manager effective June 3, 2026. Fowler, who spent 34 years with the city, most recently directed the Department of Public Safety, overseeing police, fire, and emergency medical services.
Fowler holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Central Florida. He graduated from the FBI National Academy.
As city manager, Fowler said he plans to pursue economic development, enhance city services, and strengthen partnerships with residents and businesses.
